Passage. Performative transition of the Grotowski Institute

Cyclic performative activities

“Passage” is a series of monthly performative activities carried out in Załek Jerzy Grotowski and Przejście Żelażnicki. The project takes the performing arts beyond the walls of the institution, inscribing it in the rhythm of everyday life of the city.

From August 2026 to June 2027, the space located between the Wrocław Cloth Hall will become a stage of artistic activities, providing an incentive to stop for a moment and look at the surroundings from a different perspective.

We want this space to be a place of spontaneous contact with performance; a place of unexpected, unexpected transitions. We want it to be open and easily accessible, so that it gives the opportunity to build relationships - also with people who do not participate in artistic events on a daily basis.

Each event will remain a mystery, a surprise until the moment it begins. We do not foreshadow the form or course of actions, leaving room for surprise, attentiveness and direct experience.

Information about the performances will appear on the site only after their implementation.
