Beloved English folk-star returns to VEGA

Heart-felt vocals, sophisticated fingerplaying, golden melodies and lyrics that take on life, loss and love. It's the recipe which has made Passenger one of this millennium's biggest English folk-pop names.

Michael Rosenberg has been performing under his stage name for 20 years, first as the frontman of a band of the same name and since 2009 as a successful solo artist.

He has released 13 studio albums on his own, including Young as the Morning Old as the Sea, which in 2016 went to number 1 in his home country, All the Lights, which includes the gigahit “Let Her Go”, and most recently “Birds That Flew and Ships That Sailed” in 2022.

“I damn love Denmark!” Rosenberg has spoken to GAFFA — and Denmark loves Passenger! This was underlined by his last Danish performance in 2024 in the concert hall of the DR Koncerthuset. The concert was completely sold out, and the lucky attendees were treated to the Englishman's very special mix of musical masterclass, charming warmth and astonishing presence. Bands of Tomorrow also gave it a maximum of 6 stars and called it “a stunningly intimate experience”.

Now there will soon be an opportunity to experience Passenger and his extraordinary live skills at home. On March 13, the English folk star returns to Denmark, where he occupies Store VEGA with its beautiful, melancholic melodies.
