Patricia Kopatchinskaja violin ; Polina Leschenko piano

Individual, distinctive and daring are among the words that leap to mind when Patricia Kopatchinskaja and Polina Leschenko make music together. The duo’s albums have harvested five-star reviews for what BBC Music Magazine hails as playing ‘of such consummate ease combined with involvement and attention to detail’. They preface two grand landmarks of the French chamber repertoire with Enescu’s evocative, fabulously virtuosic Childhood Impressions, a suite of ten pieces dedicated to the memory of their composer’s first violin teacher.
