Paweł Domagała embarks on a new concert tour “Nadzieja”! He will perform on the stage of the Kashubian Philharmonic on March 12.
On February 19, I'm going on a “Nadzieja” tour, promoting my new album of the same name. It's been a long time since I was looking forward to meeting you.
I've been thinking more and more about hope lately. About how much we need it, especially now that we keep hearing that the world is heading in a not very good direction. But I'm not at all sure if that's the case. Maybe it's not all over. Maybe some things are just beginning.
I do not mean such a great hope that promises that everything will be fine. Because it is known that it will not always be. I mean the little one, sometimes barely noticeable, which comes completely unexpectedly and allows you to take the next step. Which reminds us that what is happening today is not yet the whole story.
I found it myself in times and places where I did not expect it at all. And it is this experience that I would like to share with you. Talk a little about it and, above all, sing.
Musically, I also felt like I wanted to go back to the beginning. For simple playing, for live instruments, for songs that don't need a million effects to move something in us. No computers, no unnecessary fireworks. In an age where technology can do more and more, I am more and more fascinated by the human being. His imperfection, sensitivity, presence. Somewhat paradoxically, the more things we can do today, the more I miss the simplest ones.
Of course, there will be songs that you know well and that we have been singing together for years. There will also be brand new tracks from the album “Nadzieja”. There will be some laughter, some emotion, and probably some stories that maybe I shouldn't tell at all.
But most of all I would like these concerts to be meetings, not spectacles. So that we could just be together for a while. No rush, no big bang, no big show, no pretending everything is perfect. Listen to music, laugh, it can move a little. Remind yourself of how good it is sometimes to be close to other people.
And I would like us to come home from these meetings a little lighter. With some kind of good thought, a melody in our head and a feeling that we are not alone in all this. That the world still has a lot of good to offer us. That not all the most beautiful things are already behind us.
Because maybe the hope is not at all that we know what's going to happen next.
Maybe it's because we're still curious.
I hope to see you.
~ Your Paul
