Shakhrajka Flea

Do you want fairy tales? Here is a fairy tale! Full of humor, energy and theatrical fantasy! We invite you to a musical performance inspired by Jan Brzechwa's work. The Shahrajka Flea is back in a brand new version! Flea brewers with a grain of salt and in the spirit of exquisite family entertainment combine rhythmic songs and playful dialogues to create a colorful world where nothing is as it seems.

The eponymous Flea is a master of mischief and petty deceit — she does everything with wit, a twinkle in the eye and a cunning that sometimes goes a step too far. Her breweries lead to a series of comic misunderstandings, and viewers follow how in a world of appearances it is easy to confuse truth with cunning trick. Nothing in this story is what it seems — and that's why it entertains so much.

The show, in addition to great fun, also has a clear educational value: in a light way it helps to distinguish good from evil, shows the consequences of cunning used without reflection and reminds of the importance of honesty, empathy and responsibility. It develops imagination and linguistic and musical sensitivity, encouraging children to come into contact with Jan Brzechwa's work and theatre as a living adventure.
