Landscape Live

Club music can be more than just a background for dancing or a background for conversations at the bar. The landscape brings to Wrocław an antidote to party schemes and safe playlists. Instead, we will get music based on the sound collage technique, given with full producer freedom. Behind the project Landscape is Bartosz Kruczyński — a producer and DJ based in Warsaw, whose musical CV is very impressive. He collaborated with the absolute top of the Polish scene, co-creating songs for such artists as Dawid Podsiadło, Taco Hemingway, PRO8L3M, Schafter, Sokół and Rosalie.

Bartosz Kruczyński is an institution figure on the Polish electronic scene. He works under many aliases (Earth Trax, The Phantom, half of the cult duo Birds), and his selection resembles, as the portal culture.pl wrote:

— [...] connecting to a big database. In a sense, the artist organizes this base, recording under different pseudonyms [...] Depending on the alias, Kruczyński's recordings are dominated by different stylistics: house, ambient, built from balearic samples and nostalgic disco.

His solo journey under the banner Landscape is a uniquely personal story. He debuted with the album “Ostatni Dzień Lata”, released by the cult outpost The Very Polish Cut-Outs. The “beehype” service hailed this album as the best Polish album of 2018. Since then, the artist has published five well-received albums. Among them were “Wyspa” (instrumental record of the year at the Polish Hip-Hop Awards and album of the day on Bandcamp Daily) and the captivating album “List”, regularly presented on London's NTS Radio.

The Pejzaż Live concert in Wrocław is an opportunity to experience the stories of freedom of the 90s. You will hear how melancholy and longing smoothly pass into a euphoric, mesmerizing dance. This is a carefully directed story that has something very personal about it.

“I often try to find some of my own, private branches in music and culture. [...] We live in an increasingly intertwined culture and the only thing that can distinguish new products is the context,” Kruczyński emphasizes in the pages of newonce.

It is this unique context, the collision of raw electronics with the warmth of old Polish samples, that creates an atmosphere on the dance floor that cannot be faked.

In short, there will be no force-pumped pathos here. It is music of complex context, but given with incredible looseness. Landscape Live is simply a proposal for those who are looking for something personal in electronics. Come and hear how the stories from the samples are laid out.
