In October, we invite you to an absolutely unique meeting of the Skawina Academy of Knowledge and Skills with the charming Iwona Marczak-Strumieńska (Good World Day), who will take us — no less — on a honeymoon trip to the other end of the world! Just a month ago, she admired the turtles of the Galapagos, the geysers of Yellowstone and the golden beaches of Hawaii, and already on October 30 she will tell us about it in Skawina. But let's give her a voice:

About the event

In October, we invite you to an absolutely unique meeting of the Skawina Academy of Knowledge and Skills with the charming Iwona Marczak-Strumieńska (Good World Day), who will take us — no less — on a honeymoon trip to the other end of the world! Just a month ago, she admired the turtles of the Galapagos, the geysers of Yellowstone and the golden beaches of Hawaii, and already on October 30 she will tell us about it in Skawina. But let's give her a voice:

“When planning our honeymoon, we had one thing in mind — not only adventure, but also brazenly lazy beachcombing. And so a crazy plan was born in my head, in which we were to admire the Andean wastelands and lost among the high mountains of Machu Picchu, and then go to Ecuador to visit one of the best preserved island ecosystems in the world - the Galapagos Islands. Swim with water iguanas, swim with water iguanas, and after this short rest visit other legendary islands — Hawaii. However, our plans were completely blown away by Hurricane Lowell, and by the time we arrived in Hawaii, we had to visit Yellowstone, the oldest national park in the world. It was certainly the most complicated, costly, and full of unexpected adventures — but also an absolutely unforgettable adventure we had for the first time as a married couple.”

Iwona Marczak-Strumieńska — author of the blog Dzień Dobry Świecie, is already a regular guest of our SAWiU meetings. An academic teacher by profession, a traveler by passion — she shares her travel adventures with humor on social media. In numbers, it speaks of itself: 60 countries, 6 continents, 3 chins - and effectively works to constantly increase these numbers.

We cordially invite you to a humorous and adventurous story about an expedition with momentum - the west coast of the Americas - on Friday, October 30, at 18.00, in the “Falcon” Palace.

Admission is free.

Where to park?

Access to the building from the city parking located at Żwirki Wigury Street. It is a public car park, with more than forty parking spaces, among which three parking spaces for OZn have been designated correctly marked, with the correct dimensions. These places are located at a considerable distance from the building. The surface of the parking lot is lined with a concrete openwork slab, making it difficult for people in wheelchairs, moving on crutches or with a cane.
