Two Herberts touched on three hours of theatrical madness: With Herbert Grönemeyer's music and in Herbert Fritsch's production, Eugène Labiche's mix-up comedy becomes a merciless attack on the humor center in the audience's brain. This is really about the joke and not about the deeper meaning: Herbert Fritsch leafs open a slapstick primer in which the singer performers can let off steam to their heart and audience's content.
The young privateer Fardinard gets into extreme entanglements on his wedding day of all days: His horse ate a woman's hat in the morning. But when she comes home without a hat, her jealous husband finds out about her grumbling with a policeman. Instead of getting married, Fadinard must first get a new hat. All right? Then please buckle up and join the comedy chaos!
