Warsaw at the end of the 19th century. The heart of Stanisław Wokulski (Marcin Dorociński) is possessed by a mad love for Izabela Łęcka (Kamila Urzedowska). He, thanks to the fortune won in the war, returns to the country and decides to enter the world of the higher spheres in order to win the hand of his beloved. She is dazzling and haughty, but despite her aristocratic background, she struggles with the specter of financial ruin. At Wokulski's side stands his faithful friend, Ignacy Rzecki (Marek Kondrat), a romantic who watches with nostalgia as the world of ideals gives way to social aspirations and the ruthless game of interests. Wokulski enters the labyrinth of aristocratic salons, where every gesture can be the beginning of intrigue, and every word — a harbinger of betrayal. Rivals in his path, unexpected alliances and dramatic choices will test his dreams and faith in the people. This is a story about a love infatuation that changes the destinies of the characters and blurs the boundaries between heart and reason.

Warsaw, late 19th century. Stanisław Wokulski's (Marcin Dorociński) heart is consumed by a mad passion for Izabela Łęcka (Kamila Urzedowska). Having amassed a fortune during the war, he returns home determined to enter high society and win the hand of the woman he loves. She is dazzling and haughty, yet—despite her aristocratic lineage—she grapples with the looming threat of financial ruin. Alongside Wokulski stands his loyal friend Ignacy Rzecki (Marek Kondrat), a romantic who watches with nostalgia as a world of ideals gives way to social ambition and the ruthless pursuit of self-interest. Wokulski enters the labyrinth of aristocratic salons, where a single gesture can spark an intrigue and every word may herald a betrayal. Rivals, unexpected alliances, and dramatic choices will put his dreams and his faith in humanity to the test.
