Piastowny

A show in which the story meets comedy, singing and burlesque flourish. In her original script, Kasia Kasparek brings to life five queens from the Piast dynasty. Each of them tells its story with humor, distance and without historical fluff.

The show combines comedy, movement, singing and elements of burlesque to create a dynamic, sensual and cheeky spectacle. The historical context here is the starting point for stories of agency, loyalty, politics and female identity that sound surprisingly current.

Without school reconstruction and ossified tone, but with energy, irony and stage pomp.

It will be funny, sometimes provocative and very timely. And all this with live music!

“A brilliant show where we had a great time. There was a lot of laughter, and there were moments of emotion. Extensive and very thorough research is highly appreciated, which certainly preceded the preparation of the script of the play. Exquisite costumes, worked out to the smallest detail, which also “played a role”. Great and unobtrusive interaction with the audience. Huge chapeau bass! Definitely a commendable event.”

“I had a great time; the show exceeded my expectations with its creativity. High level performance and great music. I recommend it to everyone!”
