About the event

Music: O.N.E.

Independent film project realized by three curators from different film archives: Elif Rongen (Netherlands), Maggie Hennefeld (USA) and Laura Horak (Canada).

As part of the project, we will present a unique selection of films, which we made together with Elif Rongen — curator from EYE Filmmuseum. The program includes the oldest films of rebellious heroines escaping convention, as well as examples of early productions by female directors.

O.N.E. is an acoustic jazz quartet that combines lyricism and songwriting with the wild, uncompromising energy of contemporary jazz. Without a female leader — four personalities, diverse inspirations and one distinctive sound.

The band has released three albums: “One” (2020), “Entoloma” (2022) and “Well, Actually...” (2025), released by Danish label April Records. The first album received a nomination for the FRYDERYK award as well as the Jazz Forum and the Grand Prix Jazz Melomani.

O.N.E. has performed at the most important jazz festivals in Poland and Europe, including Belgium, Germany, Estonia, Sweden, Spain and the United Kingdom. In 2024, as part of the European Jazz Network's Green Pilot Tour program, the band toured and conducted workshops in Ukraine.

The team consists of:

Kateryna Ziabliuk — piano

Monia Pic — saxophone

Kamila Drabek — double bass

Patrycja Wybrańczyk — drums

Introduction: Paulina Haratyk — film expert, assistant at the Department of Film History of the Polish Institute of Audiovisual Arts of the Jagiellonian University. He is involved in independent film and contemporary cinema, research of archives and the film industry. She combines her research activities with curatorial and scriptwriting work, implementing projects on the border of film, art, history and social activities.

The project is co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.
