Picnic under the hanging rock

Where time ends, the mystery begins.

“Picnic at the Hanging Rock” is one of the most sensual and mesmerizing films in the history of cinema. Once viewed, it remains in memory forever. Peter Weir — creator of the “Truman Show” and the “Dead Poets Association” — creates a cinema of dense atmosphere and anxiety. “Picnic under the Hanging Rock” is, by the way, the spiritual ancestor of Sofia Coppola's “Curses of Innocence” and the works of David Lynch, in which the echo of unnamed desires, confusion and something that defies simple logic is reflected.
