The smell of coffee and lipstick. Heavenly pins and installments at PKO. Radio Troika and the Sejm Committee. Telegraphist and artist. The fate of both in one endless monologue. A personal story — a journey through the paths of memory. Map of thoughts, map of places, map of memories.
Chaotic thoughts line up into bittersweet conversation and break up into billions of emotions. Someone said that only the elusive and inaccessible is attractive... Is there anything more elusive than love? I put my past together like a puzzle, I play it like a movie. In color _blue_. In the version modified by the passage of time. The memories are hidden in the objects, the dates, the photographs, the songs I hum and the letters I touch. I'm here and at the same time I'm looking back to 1979 and going back to 1992 in a moment.

Recital My Mom's Songs is a touching story about closeness, broken conversation and loss, in which there is no shortage of emotion. The audience takes turns laughing out loud, only to reflect on the passing in a moment.
Ewa Szumska's monologue is a fascinating story about life, about the pursuit of dreams, about difficult meetings and even more difficult conversations. What delights in this performance is the wide palette of colors and emotions that are painted on the face of the actress and that are expressed in each gesture. This is a difficult and at the same time very personal performance, with which Ewa Szumska proves that acting was her vocation.
“Songs of my mother, that is, at home without changes” is a show full of tenderness that allows us to look anew at the relationships with our loved ones. In the individual story, it allows us to see patterns of thoughts and actions, which, however painful, hide in themselves layers of care and parental love. This art, using laughter, exposes us anew our weaknesses, but also what is precious and unique.
What undoubtedly gives the play such a warm character is the character full of warmth and emotion of the main character. From the very first moments, Ewa Szumska wins the hearts and trust of the audience with her sincere smile and passionate gestures. Her kind and friendly contact with Jacek Piskorz and Grzegorz Kopa gives the art a cordiality, introducing an aura of freedom and closeness.
“Songs of my mother, that is, at home unchanged” is thus the perfect spectacle for anyone thirsting for warmth and a smile. It is an art that crosses the age line by entertaining and touching both mothers and daughters and giving encouragement in the difficult struggles with a passing life.
It turns out that in contact with real artists, even such a modest set design (red carpet, stool, microphone - that's the end) is quite enough. The action of the show takes place entirely in our imagination, which is an absolutely unusual experience. It is as if we are sitting in the audience, we are in the theater, and as if we are listening to the intimate confessions of a close friend. The intimacy of the Gallery Scene helps with this - to know that the choice of place was also not accidental. The audience laughs once, swallows saliva once. Szumska in an absolutely brilliant way develops in Piosenki... a wide palette of her acting abilities, her workshop is simply impressive, mesmerizing. The personal story of an uneasy and yet unquestionable love is as universal as the bond between the parent and the child is inseparable, regardless of the development of this relationship in the already adult life.
Szumska beats her eyes with a wide range of stage art, adding excellent versions of the hits of Maryla Rodowicz, Ewa Bem, Maanamu to the feast. The way he communicates with two musicians rubs against the joyful communion of souls.Be stubborn, strive for tickets, because a place in a miniature audience is like an exclusive place in a rocket to the sources of tranquility.
