What is art for? Art is for nothing, but I can't resist it.
The political transformation of '89 is nothing more than a new, luminous, happy Poland and everyone knows it. In the midst of this joyful fiesta, however, there are those who make the ferment. They are visual artists. With society, they go to the “cold war”, not letting forget about the dark sides of transformation. They enjoy the freedom that democracy gives them fully and exclusively on their own terms.
The Pyramid of Animals refers to the scandalous sculpture of Catherine Kozyra of the same name. Starting from the analysis of the work itself, Michał Borczuch and playwright Mateusz Górniak will develop the perspective of the contemporary role of creative work, to conclude the whole with a personal manifesto based on their own experiences — What and who needs art?
