Writing in times of crisis — Temporary Literary Collective led by Tomek Gromadka — call for applications

Crisis to great inspiration for writing. The crisis of the world, the human being, but also the crisis of creativity, our inability to express ourselves in words, all technological forces led by AI trying to take away our linguistic agency and real influence on culture. A crisis of imagination, our social depression allowing us to create new visions of reality that are not just a product mixed with marketing. Together, in class, with a word on our lips, with a pen, with our fingers attached to the keyboard, we will face each other and the crisis that will penetrate our literary forms to the bone marrow. We will write to live, to survive, to live and experience some, any beauty. We will break down literarily and regain our strength in something completely vague, new, unknown.

The inspiration for the work will be the current exhibitions at CSW ZU: This cat was drawn during the war, Not water not earth, No one or everyone and Touches his forehead, feels how he smokes, probably has a fever. The grand finale of the class will be open mic — a microphone open to texts about the crisis, to which we will invite workshop participants and anyone who wants to read their crisis text.

Participation in the workshop is free of charge.
