About the event

On 19 and 20 September, from 13:30 to 19:00, we invite you to a two-day workshop accompanying the finishing of the exhibition Touches her forehead, feels how she smokes, probably has Karolina Breguła's fever.

How do you talk about a world that is becoming increasingly difficult to describe? How to talk about heat, tension, change and everyday life so as not to close the experience in ready-made words? And what can happen when the text ceases to belong to one person.

The workshops will be conducted by Karolina Breguła, visual artist, director and filmmaker, working with narrative, memory, social experience and the relationship between reality and fiction, and Dorota Ogrodzka, curator, director, theater pedagogue and playwright, who has been involved in collective creative processes, performative writing for years, reading and working with the group.

We will write, read, listen and build a text together with many voices. We will be interested in what arises between the document and the imagination, the individual experience and the common narrative, the written word and the spoken word.

In two days we will create a common text, and then we will look for voice, rhythm and performative form for it. The process will end with a joint recording. It is not necessary to have experience in writing or performance, although it will also be appreciated. Curiosity, attentiveness and willingness to work with others are needed.
