Putin's Playground

A pair of Polish documentary filmmakers travel through Central and Eastern Europe to investigate the activities carried out by the Russian services below the threshold of war.

They track down GRU agents associated with the bombing of ammunition depots and attempts to poison Moscow's opponents with novichok. They talk to politicians, service representatives, experts, agents of influence and a captured Russian spy.

Their investigation leads to the question of hybrid war—activities carried out for years without a formal declaration of war and often beyond the consciousness of ordinary citizens.
