A variety of plagues appear regularly and several times have almost completely wiped out Homo sapiens. What did the post-apocalyptic world look like after the plague, cholera and Spanish plague? How was smallpox fought in Wrocław in 1963? And are we threatened by epidemics, after which super zombies will arise?
Dr. Łukasz Śmigiel — author of novels and short stories from Wrocław, radio journalist, lecturer at UWR, author of a blog (horrornaweekend.blogspot.com) and a new series of podcasts, entitled “The Canon of Cool Things”, invites you to a lecture full of black humor and pop culture references.
The event is part of Horror Day 2026 — 12th Lower Silesian Horror Festival. The theme of this year's festival is POSTAPOCALYPSE. The full program of the event is available here HORROR DAY PROGRAM 2026.
