A Pleiad Of Cool Movies

The Pleiade of Cool Movies in October invites you this time to an unusual world bordering on romance, fantasy and a dark fairy tale. Screening on Friday, October 16, 2026 at 6:00 p.m., free admission.

This is a fairy tale for adults - a story about loneliness, closeness and affection that defies accepted norms. The action takes place in the United States of the early 1960s, in the shadow of the Cold War. An employee of a secret laboratory discovers an unusual aquatic creature held there. A bond is born between the two excluded protagonists, which over time becomes something much more.

The film was directed by Guillermo del Toro, one of the most emblematic creators of modern cinema. The film stars Sally Hawkins, Doug Jones, Michael Shannon, Richard Jenkins, Octavia Spencer and Michael Stuhlbarg.

It is an extremely plastic and painterly film. Color, light, scenography, costumes and water theme create an almost separate language of the story here.

Suggested Viewers Age: 16+. Despite the fairytale form, this is definitely not a children's movie. From 17:30 we are waiting for you with a coffee and a little sweet something. The show starts at 18:00.

Admission is free. Bring your friends and have a movie night with us!
