Pligten Kalder, with Torben Steno, Johan Olsen, Søren Mikkelsen and Peter Jessen, comes to Bremen Teater with their traditional Christmas concert
Hopes of commercial success have been rekindled. The Duty Caller therefore takes the bull by the horns, turns up the ambitions, and has decided that the people should have what the people want. And what do the people most want? They're screaming for something both sad and smug. A genre The Duty Caller has invented and defined through their art for a long number of years. That's the universe the quartet will cultivate with extra stomach-churning bitter intensity this fall.
The tour is also part of the national celebration of Torben Steno's upgrade to public pensioner, The first sod for the reconstruction of Søren “the genius from Glamsbjerg” Mikkelsen's childhood home in Glamsbjerg and which will house an interactive experience museum, Peter “Sax” Jessen will get a proper slambert of a brass bust erected in Shanghai, and Johan Olsen will get a well-done deserved apology from the Nobel Prize committee for the recent omission of his research.
There has been a lot of press coverage regarding the show's special effects. Plans for an indoor pyrotechnic crescendo have sadly been shelved, with the venues being somewhat smaller than first planned. However, there will be a smaller disco ball.
Ondersteuning: Monique Mai
Monique Mai writes songs about longing, love, hope and the people we can't quite let go. With a lyrical gaze and a penchant for the ambiguous, she moves in singer/songwriter-land between the intimate and the existential. She takes her brand new release “The World's Most Beautiful Man” with her -- a declaration of love for the impossible.
