Why poetry is a space for meetings and reflections on poetry — its role, strength and presence in the modern world. Literary researchers, poets, activists, graphic designers, neurobiologists, and directors have been invited to speak, who are trying to answer the questions: why poetry today? What does it bring to our lives? how does it affect the imagination and the body? how does it resonate with social change and how does it stand out from other artistic forms of expression?
Each speech is accompanied by original visual and typographic works prepared by students affiliated to the sisters in type scientific circle at the Faculty of Graphics of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Six mini-publications will be created, which will have their premiere at the Ujazdowski Castle Center for Contemporary Art, and will then go to libraries, cultural centers, art universities, research centers and schools, where they will be available free of charge.
