6 p.m.
Hosted by: Zofia Załęska
Can an old chalice be more expensive than a painting? Is gold always more valuable than silver? And are artificial stones in old objects always a forgery?
We invite you to a tour of the objects from the Silver and Metal Collection presented at the Gallery of Early Art. We will see items made of the most valuable materials: gold, silver, gems and ivory and enamel. We will consider together what makes these monuments so valuable today — expensive ore, masterful craftsmanship or perhaps their extraordinary history.
