UNDER THE LAYERS

We cordially invite you on October 16, 2026 at 18:00 to the audience of the Small Stage of the Kielce Dance Theatre for the post-premiere screening of the play entitled “POD WARSTWAMI” choreographed by Antonina Kaminska.

This will be the first presentation after the May premiere of this show. The presentation will take place as part of the Program Spaces of Art — Dance edition 2026-2028.
We will see the performance entitled “UNDER THE LAYERS” choreographed on October 16, 2026 at 18:00 on the Small Stage of KTT. Szymon Pacholec, Jarosław Piętka and Mateusz Wróblewski will present themselves. The performance was created this year as the Chamber Premiere of KTT in the Program Sprawns of Art — Dance edition 2026-2028. The October presentation will be a post-premiere screening and thus the seventh of eight presentations of performances in the Action entitled Presentation of performances in the Świętokrzyskie region as part of PS 2026.
A word from the author:

In the center of the show are three men.
Their bodies on stage are not an illustration of an idea, but a space of study. Through the male body, a universal story becomes visible: how a man loses contact with himself under the pressure of what he “should” be.

The male code is formed early. You're not allowed to cry. You have to be strong. The man does not feel. It's not bad will, it's a message. From a father who also did not know another language. From an environment that rewards stability and punishes for sensitivity.

Like the bark of a tree where each layer was once a protection: a social role, someone else's expectations, a family code, assimilated “need” instead of “feel”. The bark protects. But if it becomes too thick — the tree stops growing. He's alive. But something inside freezes.
Three bodies on the stage — it is not a conflict and not a rivalry, but a system. Everyone simultaneously sets a rhythm and follows it. Everyone runs after someone and does not see that they are also running after him.

“A real man” is not the goal. It is an image that everyone runs after and that no one ever achieves because it does not exist. There is only movement towards him.
All his life he ran after the painting, but he never asked himself: and what kind of me am I?
