“Gulliver's Travels” by Jonathan Swift, directed by award-winning director and theater creator Krzysztof Garbaczewski, is a story about taming otherness, acceptance and tolerance in new, unbridled worlds. Garbaczewski uses Swift's novel in a brilliant way, recreating its satirical character. Using fairy-tale elements, the director tells about the reality that is here and now. Realizing his version of “Gulliver's Travels”, he asks the question: “How to find oneself in an alien environment?”
The famous novel is adapted as a staging, combining the classic form of puppet theater with elements of virtual reality. The creators of the show invite you to the modern version of “Gulliver's Journey”, which is inspired by the classics of literature, but at the same time uses new technologies. Dolls created by Alexandra Vasilkovskaya appear on the stage, but also animated avatars.
The premiere was created within the framework of the project “Gulliver's Travels”, which was co-financed by the European Union — the Reconstruction and Resilience Enhancement Fund (NextGenerationEU) as part of the National Recovery and Resilience Enhancement Plan.
