Travel stories: Kyrgyzstan — where mountains touch the sky

We invite you to meet with brother Damian Wojciechowski TJ, Jesuit, journalist, director, photographer and mountain guide. The theme of the meeting will be Kyrgyzstan, with a special focus on its unusual mountains — Tien Shan, Alay and Pamir. Brother Damian has been associated with Central Asia for many years, where he has worked as a missionary, journalist and as part of the Catholic Church. During the meeting, he will talk about his experiences of travel and mountain expeditions, as well as about the people, culture and landscapes of Kyrgyzstan. An important part of the event will be photographs of the author, allowing to see this unusual country from the perspective of its inhabitant, traveler and photographer. Brother Damian is also the author of the album “Kyrgyzstan — where mountains touch the sky”, containing photographs and information about the mountains of the country. The meeting will be an opportunity to get to know Kyrgyzstan not only as a destination for mountain excursions, but also as a place with a unique culture, history and nature. We cordially invite everyone interested in mountains, travel, photography and Central Asia.

The event is organized jointly with the Youth Club of Science and Nature of the PTTK.
