Afternoon tea at... BOOK

Branch no. 12 MBP Lublin (ul. Żelazowa Woli 7) invites all literature lovers to another meeting of the “Afternoon Tea with... BOOK” series, during which - over coffee and sweet treats - the participants talk about books and their film adaptations.

The next meeting will take place on October 26, 2026 (Monday) at 4 p.m. Theme of the meeting: Delia Owens - “Where Crayfish Sing”

The novel takes place in the wetlands around Barkley Cove, a provincial town off the coast of North Carolina. Kya Clark, nicknamed the Swamp Girl, is accused of murdering Chase Andrews.

“Where Crayfish Sing” topped the bestseller lists of The New York Times Fiction Best Sellers of 2020. The publication was the best-selling book of 2019 and 2020. By 2023, more than 18 million copies were sold worldwide.

The novel was appreciated, among others, by Reese Witherspoon, who runs a reading club. After reading the book, the American actress decided to transfer the story of Delia Owens to the big screen. The film adaptation had its world premiere on July 15, 2022.
