The artist said of himself: “I tried to do what is real, not perfect.” Who will you hear about this time? Of an impetuous, extraordinary mind. About someone brutally cynical. About a subtle soul in a deformed body. We travel back in time to Paris at the end of the 19th century. We will take a walk through Montmartre, once again with the red velvet and sequins of the Moulin Rouge forest. You will hear about the play that came out of the frame on October 29.
This is art! — a publicly accessible, free series of lectures and film presentations, on a selected topic from the world of art — led by art historian Katarzyna Czaplę-Durska. This is a series of meetings for all who are not indifferent to the word “art”. Each meeting lasts an hour and takes place once a month. The audience will get acquainted with the most significant phenomena and characters in art in an accessible, understandable and interesting way. During the classes, the value of: imagination, creativity, perception, feelings, sensitivity, aesthetic experience is promoted. I encourage you not to be afraid of the original, difficult, diverse and asymmetrical.
