Weather for happiness — in memory of Magda Umer

Musical Theatre in Łódź

Premiere as part of the Off-North Festival

A staged concert dedicated to the memory of Magda Umer, singer, screenwriter, director. She was called a melancholic with a sense of humor. Delicate, ethereal, often singing almost in a whisper, an excellent interpreter and propagator of the works of Polish poets.

The concert program emphasizes the richness and unfading timeliness of the poetic song. It is a story about emotions that remain constant despite the changing times: loneliness in the crowd, closeness that gives rise to strangeness, difficulties in relationships, but also joy, hope and happiness. In a world full of seeming openness, communicative facilitation and informational chaos, we move away from each other, and poetry restores our ability to listen carefully and understand.

Talented young, but already experienced performers will perform. They will present characters close to our everyday life — perhaps even in one of them we will find a part of ourselves.
