On the banks of the Tapajós River in the Amazon, the forest of fish-women reflects the mythology of the Munduruku people, according to which people at the beginning of the world turned into forest, plants and animals. In the daily life of the inhabitants of Sawre Muybu village, the spirits of the forest are not only the spiritual forces of the ancestors, but also part of the family.
