Screening of the film “Triumph of the Heart” with a meeting with Marcin Kwaśny — the main character

Triumph of the Heart, directed by Anthony D'Ambrosio, Poland, USA, 2025

Fiction, Biography, Drama, Religious

“Triumph of the Heart” is a drama based on the true story of St. Maximilian Maria Kolbe, a Franciscan who gave his life for a fellow prisoner in the Auschwitz concentration camp. The film by American director Anthony D'Ambrosio begins where most of the stories about Father Kolb end — on death row. And although in flashbacks we return to important moments in the life of St. Maximilian Maria Kolbe, it is in this closed space that the most moving story of the last days of the saint's life takes place.

“Triumph of the Heart” is not only a story of martyrdom, but above all a tribute to love, which — and this is the spiritual message of the film — is creative and stronger than death. In a world full of division and conflict, “The Triumph of the Heart” becomes a universal appeal for goodness, faith and humanity.

After the screening, we cordially invite you to an author's meeting with Marcin Kwaśny — the performer of the main role in the film.
