Sky Shows at the Astronomical Observatory

The sky above us is constantly changing — each night tells a different story. The movement of the planets, the phases of the Moon, encounters of bright objects or subtle phenomena visible only to attentive observers make even the well-known firmament capable of surprising. The Sky Shows at the Astronomical Observatory in Olsztyn are an invitation to look up carefully and discover these stories together with the astronomer.

During the meetings we learn orientation in the night sky, get to know currently visible objects and explain phenomena that can be observed with the naked eye or through a telescope. This is an opportunity to combine knowledge with direct experience and see how fascinating it can be to observe the sky live.

The shows take place at the Astronomical Observatory at 13 Żołnierska Street and — as always in astronomy — are subject to weather conditions. Detailed information about the upcoming meetings, the topics of the shows and the current phenomena in the sky can be found below.

ATTENTION! Sky shows are held against a cloudless sky. Limited number of seats. Reservation of seats by phone is valid at 89 650 04 40, 89 527 67 03
