Do you play with colors? Grams! Do you know the colors? I know! And do you know what colors can describe Poland? White and red are colours associated with our national symbols — flag and emblem. But does Polish patriotism have only two colors? When you look around and listen, it turns out not! Because patriotism is more than just symbols, dates or solemn words. It is also sounds, smells, images and memories.
Poland shimmers and resonates with a whole palette of colors: the green of meadows and forests, the blue of the sea and sky, the gold of fields and autumn leaves, the purple of heather, the brown of chestnuts, the silver of mountain winter mornings and many other shades. They can not only be seen, but also heard in music inspired by our tradition and history — in Polish songs and songs, which in the most difficult moments of our history gave Poles courage, strength and hope.
During the November family concert, traditionally, together with the students and teachers of the Tadeusz Szeligowski School of Music I and II, we will “color” Poland with sounds, following the path of further musical stories — about courage, friendship, longing, old games, the path to freedom and the joy of being together.
There will be no shortage of songs that we have known and sung for generations, such as the Infantry, The buds of white roses bloomed, O my rosemary or They go to the forest. We will listen, sing, guess and discover what colors are hidden not only in the music, but also in the orchestra. We invite you to a colorful tour of Poland!
