Half and Half

“Half and Half” is a comedy saturated with black humor, about two half-brothers who decide to get rid of their parent. Is it possible to like someone who wishes badly to his own mother? It turns out that yes. Robert and Dominik, who at first appear to us as two not very nice guys (one wants to escape because he is tired of caring for a half-paralyzed old woman, the other cares most about the money from the inheritance), slowly discover darker and darker secrets that show what a monster their own mother was and is. Nestorka of the family does not appear on the scene, her presence is signaled only by an insistent bell, and yet we are aware that she is still omnipresent and still tyrannizes the environment, and on top of that she is “unsinkable” as if not trying on Mrs. Wilberforce with “You Must Kill the Old Lady”.
