Half and half

“Half and half” - a black comedy that disarms with laughter. Two brothers face the most difficult task of life. It's not about career, not about money, not about love... It's about the mother. A mother who has kept them in check for years. Possessive, bossy, eternally dissatisfied - even from behind the wall, she can set up their lives. So what do you do to finally free yourself? The solutions are different, and the brothers - desperate, neurotic and basically hilarious - will not hesitate before either. It is in this desperation that comedy is born: full of sharp riposts, absurd twists and dialogues in which every word is another step towards disaster. “Half and Half” is a black comedy in which laughter appears at the least expected moments. The characters are annoying, weak, at times pathetic - but that is why they are so close, and the audience watches with amusement their more and more crazy ideas. This is a theater that shows how thin the line between family and the battlefield is. This is not a light farce. This is a comedy with character - brilliant, perverse and charged with energy. Laughter is mixed with thrill here, and the viewer comes out with the feeling that he saw something completely different than before. “Half and half” - because sometimes the greatest fun is born from the darkest thoughts. The play was a huge success in Spain - it was seen by more than 500,000 spectators, and its popularity meant that it was also staged in Portugal, the USA and the UK.
