MORNINGS WITH ART. The Art of the Pharaohs: Canon, Eternity and Hierarchy

How to start the day well? From an inspiring encounter with art!

We invite adults and seniors to Moranki z arte, which are short meetings devoted to the most interesting phenomena in the history of art. In an intimate atmosphere, we will explore different eras, styles and works, from ancient art to the present.

Each meeting will last 45—60 minutes and will take the form of an accessible art story. We will look at selected paintings, sculptures and artistic directions, considering what they depict and why they were created.

This is a proposal for everyone who wants to expand their knowledge, look at famous works from a new perspective and start the day in a creative, inspiring way

The next meeting will take place on October 9 at 10:00 at the temporary location: HALA URANIA — al. Marsz. J. Piłsudski 44.

The Art of the Pharaohs — Canon, Eternity and Hierarchy — During the course you will learn the most important features of ancient Egyptian art. You will learn why artists have adhered to designated canons for millennia and how belief in the afterlife has shaped monumental architecture, sculpture and painting.
