Doorman from the Atlantic Hotel

One of the masterpieces of silent cinema is the story of an old hotel porter, proud of his position until he is demoted. The film is an outstanding achievement both technically and actorily. Emil Jannings created one of his most perfect roles here, after which, like the director, he received an offer to work in Hollywood.

Hania Derej — composer, pianist, arranger and conductor. Winner of several dozen awards, including: the Annual Award of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage in the Music category (2026), nomination for the Corypheus of Polish Music in the Discovery of the Year category (2025), double Grand Prix at the Ladies' Jazz Festival (2025), distinction with the title Young Promoter of Poland (2025). Winner of music plebiscites in the categories of “new musical hope” (Gazeta Wyborcza — SANKI 2025 and JazzForum — JAZZTOP 2024). A student at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam (film music) and a graduate of the Academy of Music in Krakow (conducting).

The young artist is the author of more than 150 compositions in various styles and instrumental compositions, some of which have been recorded on eleven discs, including several in the recording studio of Polish Radio in Katowice.

The music, which she composed especially for the film Murnaua, will be performed together with a chamber ensemble consisting of:
