Together with the Association of Literary Translators, we invite you to meet Agata Ostrowska, translator of the biography of Sylvia Plath by Emily Van Duyne Loving Sylvia Plath.
This year we are crossing different boundaries, including language boundaries. It's time to talk about foreign biographies, which are not lacking in our market. We invited the renowned translator, Agata Ostrowska, to talk about her work on Sylvia Plath's groundbreaking biography. Biographical books about this outstanding poetess have already been several. So why are new biographies constantly being created and how do these biographical texts influence our perception of this writer's work? Can a biography be socially engaged? How can changing social moods help expose facts from years ago? We will find out during the meeting!
