Lech Janerka — one of the most original and independent figures of Polish rock music. A composer, bassist, vocalist and songwriter who has consistently gone his own way for more than four decades. Artist associated with Wrocław, where he was born and where his musical history began.

At the turn of the 70s and 80s, he founded the legendary band Klaus Mitffoch. The only album of the group — today recognized as one of the most important albums in the history of Polish rock — has permanently entered the history of music. After the dissolution of the band, Janerka began solo activity, releasing in 1986 the album “Historia podvodna”. From that moment on, he has consistently built his own unique musical language, combining rock, electronics and non-obvious sound solutions with characteristic lyrics full of irony and neologisms.

He has a number of important albums to his credit, including “Ur”, “Bruhaha”, “Goodnight”, “Fiu Fiu”, “Plagiaty” and the album “Gypsum Casting of Forgery”, released after years of hiatus. Many of the artist's works — such as “Constitutions”, “This fun is not for girls”, “Jezu jak się ę”, “Rower” or “Strzeż się” — have permanently entered the canon of Polish music.

In 2023, after the release of the long-awaited (18 years) album of the artist “Gypsum casting of a falsificate”, it seemed that another one would soon be created and that there would be a return to touring.

This reflective album was warmly received by fans and critics, among others it was awarded as the Polish album of the year in the editorial plebiscites “Polityka”, “Gazeta Wyborcza” and “Onetu”, and also received 5 Fryderyk.

But Lech Janerka decided to end concert activities this year...
