Get to know the artist: Jacek Malczewski

Can the image be a mystery? Or is it like a dream or a story full of hidden meanings?

During the next meeting of the series “Meet the artist! Family art workshops” we will get to know the work of Jacek Malczewski — an artist who combined reality with imagination and created symbolic worlds. We will consider who the mysterious figures in his paintings are and whether each element can mean something. We will try to read the hidden stories, emotions and symbols.

In the workshop part we will create our own “story in a picture”. By combining drawn characters, places and symbols, unusual compositions are created - full of imagination, mystery and meanings that can be interpreted in many ways.
