Get to know the real Argentina!

We invite you to another meeting within the framework of the Tony Halik “Travels” Club. On October 13 at 6 pm in the Darmstadt House at the Old Market Square 8 there will be a slide show and a lecture entitled “Not only tango and football - life and travels in the Argentine style”. The guest of the event will be the Latin American and traveler Paulina Lewandowska.

Most people associate Argentina primarily with football, tango and endless Patagonia. During the upcoming meeting, however, the speaker will present a lesser-known face of this South American country, full of mysticism and local folklore.

In recent years, Argentina has become my second home. Like the locals, I started the day with yerba mate, and I spent Sundays on traditional meat asado feasts and chacarera dancing at folklore events - says Paulina Lewandowska, author of the blog Z tnika oholika.

Culture, travel and everyday life in the shadow of the crisis

The participants of the event will be taken on a journey through the country's diverse landscape and culture - from cosmopolitan Buenos Aires, through the tropical region of Misiones inhabited by descendants of Polish immigrants, to the colorful mountains and charming towns of the Argentine north.

In addition to tourism and cultural values, the meeting will also touch on topics related to everyday life in Argentina - the speaker will talk about the struggle with the economic crisis and high inflation. The programme also provides practical guidance on travel costs and on-site safety.

About the speaker:

Paulina Lewandowska is a Latin American, tour pilot and author of the blog zpametnikapodrozoholika.com. She has lived in Brazil, Peru and Argentina, among others. Alone, she traveled almost all of Latin America, exploring the cultural differences of individual regions.
