THERAPEUTIC POSITIONS
Crime comedy

Brief description of the play - in the pen of its creators:
Can a psychotherapist need therapy himself? What happens when not only eccentric patients come to his office, but also their even crazier problems? And if we add a bottle of whiskey, a bossy mother and... strange noises from behind the wall? “Therapeutic Positions” is a crime comedy full of brilliant humor, irony and unexpected twists, which takes place in a seemingly quiet therapy office. Doctor Maks Żabczyński, every day trying to control the chaos of other people's emotions, alone
increasingly loses touch with reality - especially when his patients turn out to be more colorful than the textbook of psychiatry.

A gallery of colorful characters scrolls through the scene: a jealous husband balancing on the verge of a nervous breakdown, a demonic old woman in a bikini, a sissy paralyzed by the vision of a disgruntled mother. Their meetings with Dr. Żabczyński lead to a series of dynamic, and at times grotesque, situations in which comism is intertwined with
a reflection on human desires, fears and longings. Dialogues full of sharp irony and perverse punctuation reveal the deeper emotional layers of the protagonists, revealing their hidden desires that collide with their everyday life.

“Therapeutic Positions”, is a performance that balances on the border of comedy and tragedy, offering the viewer a brilliant picture of human weaknesses, desires and paradoxes. Although it is filled with humor and absurd situations, it also leaves room for deeper reflection on fitness
modern man, his relationships, as well as the limits of normality.
