What happens to food before it even reaches our stomach? During these classes, participants will discover the unusual role of saliva and learn about amylase - an enzyme that starts the digestion of starch already in the mouth. Participants will learn what enzymes are, how they work and why the conditions in our body are of great importance for their activity. The practical part of the classes will allow them to independently conduct experiments, make observations and draw their own conclusions. NOTE: Each child is accompanied by one adult guardian in class.
