The Pharmacy Museum comes alive with the smell of herbs, resins and oils! This is exactly what it might have looked like in a pharmacy a hundred years ago. Antique furniture, rows of glass vials, porcelain dishes and old pharmacy utensils create ideal conditions for the senses to work.
The fragrance is one of the most important, though invisible, “exhibits” of the Antonina Leśniewska MSc Pharmacy Museum. It was he who filled the old pharmacies when pharmacists made medicines from dried plants, roots and essential oils. During the workshop, we go back to this tradition. With your own hands, you will make fragrant water based on natural oils, learning by the way about the healing properties of plants and ancient recipes.
The main thing here is to act: mix, try, smell, decide. Self-creation gives not only satisfaction, but also a moment of mindfulness. It allows you to slow down, focus on your senses and create something truly personal. Each composition is different, as are the people who prepare it.
The Zapachów Studio is a proposal for a quiet afternoon in the Old Town: for a date, a meeting with friends or a family trip to the museum. It is also a way to take a break from the daily rush and immerse yourself in a world where knowledge, craft and the pleasure of creating come together in one place.
The number of places is limited.
The workshop lasts 45 minutes. Last entry at 4:30 p.m.
