The premiere of Thriller is an adaptation of a play that celebrates triumphs in London as The Play That Goes Wrong, a funny story about amateur theater and the fact that everything bad can happen on the day of its premiere... Comedy about actors and their work, about the backstage of the theater, about the mechanisms and troubles of creating illusions.
Lecturers and students of a certain university run a theater circle and intend to stage a play written in the 1920s about a mysterious murder. They are approaching the launch, but everything is not going as it should. Accidents that could only theoretically take place happen all happen, one by one. Bad luck, lack of professionalism, recklessness of the service and the fear of the actors, lead to a real pandemonium, and the spectators are made to cry with laughter again and again... Do the actors and spectators make it to the bows?
The premiere of the thriller was written by professional actors. It was played successfully in London's West End and was well received at the Edinburgh Festival. In the prestigious English competition “What's On Stage” she received the title of “Best New Comedy” awarded by the audience. Critics describe it as an Agatha Christie crime novel, but performed by Monty Python's Flying Circus, while The Times called the London production a “masterpiece of failure.”
We invite you to the Polish premiere!
