Premiere of “RETROSPECTION” + meeting with NRGeek

Remember the times when games were loaded from tape recorders, computer exchanges were a real treasure mine, and every new issue of “Secret Service” was an event? We invite you to a nostalgic trip to the 80s and 90s in the company of Krzysztof “NRGeek” Micielski!

The popular web creator, reviewer, collector and retro game enthusiast will visit the Center for Comics and Interactive Narration to talk about his latest book “RETROSPECTIONS. Raised on pixels.” This is a personal story about growing up in a time when Polish gaming was just beginning, and discovering more games required patience, ingenuity and often the help of colleagues from the yard.

During the meeting, Krzysztof “NRGeek” Micielski in conversation with Bartłomiej Kluska will talk about the backstage of the creation of the book, the phenomenon of computer entertainment in Poland in the 80s and 90s and about why a youtuber needs a book and whether we need another publication on the history of video games.

The program will also include a joint remembrance of the golden times of Amiga and computer exchanges, and above all, a demonstration of NRGeek's favorite games on the Commodore 64!

There will also be plenty of time for questions from the audience, conversations and autographs. The author will sign all copies of “RETROSPECTION”, which will go to the Comic Center that day.

Whether you grew up with a joystick in your hand or know those times purely from stories, drop by to listen, reminisce and see what gaming was like before the internet gave us all the answers.
