This is the second joint production of both institutions — after “Melancholia of Opposition” directed by Jakub Skrzywanek — and the fruit of a letter of intent signed between Radio Kraków and NST.

The soundtrack extends to the second part of Adam Mickiewicz's “Dziadów”, enriched with the monologue Upior (in this role Krzysztof Globisz). The director was guided by the spirit of Konrad Swinarski's legendary staging, staged on the stage of the National Old Theater in 1973.

Wojtek Rodak is a theatre director associated with the National Old Theatre, where in 2024 he directed the famous “Dzies of sin” (we invite you to the Chamber Stage in November) — a play in a queero-feminist interpretation of the history of Ewa Pobratyńska. The compatriot received Laur Konrad and the Journalists' Award at the XXII National Festival of Directing Arts “Interpretations” for directing this play.
