Why do we continue to participate in systems whose principles we do not understand or that work against us?

The show is created through a research process based on reflection on the functioning of systems, power structures and selection mechanisms. The inspiration is Aldous Huxley's vision, in which the individual submits to the system not out of compulsion, but out of the need to belong.

WADIUM raises questions about the illusion of choice and the mechanisms of exclusion and evaluation of the individual. The selected concepts are not illustrated directly. The show puts them to the test in action — checking how they function in the body, in relation and in time. The body becomes the place where philosophy ceases to be a theory and becomes an experience.

The performance is built in the form of an auction, in which the object is not an object, but the right to occupy a place. In an archive-like space, a system based on the mechanics of the game of chairs develops. Characters enter the system for various reasons: hope, need for recognition, belonging or rebellion. Over the next levels, a key mechanism is revealed: the result is not the effect of the actions of the participants, but exists before or can be changed at any time. The system works not because of control, but thanks to the participants. Their need to be noticed, their fear of exclusion and their willingness to adapt keep the game going.
