England, June 1944: Under the overall command of US General Dwight D. Eisenhower (Brendan Fraser), the biggest sea invasion in human history is imminent. However, whether the Allied attack in Normandy is successful depends on one crucial condition — the right weather. In the last, decisive 72 hours before D-Day, British chief meteorologist Captain James Stagg (Andrew Scott) has to make the most significant prediction of his life and in the process comes into a bitter conflict with the Allied leadership. Only a few hours remain to find the moment that will determine the success or failure of the invasion — and thus the outcome of the entire war.
