Presentation by Agnieszka Kępska — Mountains of Scandinavia. Expeditions to the “Land of Giants” — Jotunheimen 2011-2026

Jotunheimen — a dangerous, wild and unfathomable land shrouded in many legends once terrified even brave Vikings. Today it is a place where you can still feel the reverent power of Nature. And although we suppose that there are only huge mountains, glaciers and precipitation, the thought of every trip to this place, although extremely fascinating, it is also somewhat frightening.

We invite you to meet Agnieszka Kępska, who will take us on a journey through the “Land of Giants”.

Agnieszka “Astrid” Kępska is a philosopher, geographer and cultural scholar by education and part of her interests. Among her other interests — in addition to music, sailing and photography — various types of travel, especially to the Scandinavian countries and Finland, occupy a very important place. For more than twenty years, combining his passion with his professional work, he has been guiding tourists around the Nordic countries, sharing with them constantly deepening knowledge. For twelve years he has been running his company — North By Expert — specializing mainly in professional travel preparation and guiding tourists in the North. After the tourist season, the author also goes to places that are more difficult to access and less frequently visited — for trekking or skiing trips. Between the highest tourist seasons of the year, he creates and develops original programs of excursions and other expeditions for tourists and based on his great knowledge of the area he books proven and interestingly located hotels. In her free time, she writes articles, prepares exhibitions and presentations about her travels. Agnieszka Kępska has repeatedly been a guest of meetings and travel festivals in Poland, such as Włoczykij or Three Elements. Her articles have appeared in magazines such as “Traveller” or “Magazyn Turystyki Górska N.P.M.”
