P*RN

Venue: Box - Basically, it could be as simple as this: People under 18 years of age don't know pornography. After all, it is forbidden to minors and any website with pornographic content is blocked by a banner that only appears if you confirm that you are of legal age. So how can it be that fifteen-year-old boys in outdoor pools brag about how familiar they are with porn? Because a banner for self-disclosure about one's own age is of course not an insurmountable hurdle — and because pornography is available online to an unprecedented extent. Watching all the movies that were only uploaded to the biggest porn platform in 2019 alone would take 169 years. But demonizing the Internet and hoping for an analog revolution back to strictly controlled video stores seems hopeless. And it doesn't make educational sense — after all, pornography also has educational and emancipatory potential when it gives rise to an opportunity to reflect on what it is actually about: the development of pleasure, the perception of one's own body and the longing for tenderness.

Together with six young people, Sofie Boiten and Lorenz Nolting are developing a piece about pornography, a language about speechlessness and dealing with all the taboos that begin long before the age survey on an Internet platform. The DT has developed a protection concept for participants; the presentation does not depict pornographic content.
